Many cyclist fail to look after their chain, end up paying for it at the most critical moments, i.e. in a race & chain snap caused falls ! A proper maintained chain will last you a long time, a smoother ride, gear shifts & more time riding than roadside repairs.

Chain maintenance means cleaning your chain from sand stuck on them & not let the sand grind in your chain. Some lube it too wet causing sand to stick to the chain & some has too little oil in it to even lubricate it.

SEA Games cyclist killed in training accident

IPOH: Cyclist Nurfaradhini Zakaria, who represented Malaysia in the 2009 Laos SEA Games team, was killed in fall during a training session with five other team members.

The 10.20am incident Tuesday at Jalan Teluk Sena, Parit, some 50km from here, also saw fellow cyclist Shahrul Nizam Che Shamsuddin suffering from a dislocated left shoulder. He was admitted into the Seri Manjung hospital for treatment.

Malaysian National Cycling Federation deputy president Datuk Naim Mohamad said Nurfaradhini, 27, suffered serious head injuries in the accident.

"She was first sent to a nearby clinic where she slipped into coma and was subsequently sent to the Changkat Melintang Hospital," he said.

Nurfaradhini, from the Royal Malaysian Navy personnel, was later admitted into the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here, where she died at 12.15pm.

A report was lodged at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital's police beat base.

Nurfaradhini was part of the winning team which won the silver medal in the mass road race in the Games.

Her remains were sent back to her hometown in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, after the post-mortem.

Dear Friends & Customers,

We would like to inform our friends / customers that the postal charges incurred for sending the merchandise purchased are based on the following calculations fixed by the courier companies; be it Pos Laju or any other courier companies.

Some customers misunderstood that we are overcharging or trying to make a quick buck out of them by charging very high postal charges for sending the items they purchased. They do not understand that some items may be low on weight but big in size. These items are charged based on the "Volumetric" calculations due to the space taken up.

For example, a bicycle frame may weigh less than 2 kg but the size of the frame cause it be calculated under the volumetric calculation; which ends up being charged for a 20 kg parcel. It has to be properly packed in a box to avoid any damages. We will not just wrap the frame in some plastic sheet and send it. On the contrary, if a small item in size but is heavy, the rate will be calculated based on its weight. Thus to simply put it, the charges will be based on whichever is greater.

I have had a few customers from East Malaysia which claimed or insist that what we told them were not true. So I made a trip to our local Pos Laju office & obtained the following tables for reference:

We hope this will clear the air on the postal charges incurred to our customers. We would also like to thank the nice people of our local Pos Laju office for the table and explanation on how the charges are calculated.

Private courier companies rates are similiar or on most occassions, slightly more expensive.

However, we welcome and appreciate if any information or other alternative method of shipping at a lower / cheaper rate. We would like to hear from you so that we could serve you better & further improve our services.

Bike Pro enterprise is a company formed by people who are passionate about bikes and cycling for fellow cyclists. Being cyclists ourselves, we understand the needs and expectations from our customers better. We try our best to keep a very low level of stock and overhead costs so that we could pass on the savings to our customers.

As you may have noticed that we have only a simple Blog to inform our potential customers of what we sell and not spending a lot of money on web designs in which at the end of the day, those costs are passed on our customers. We are cyclists; not a multi million business corporation, for God's sake.

Who We Are And Our Philosophy

We would like to inform that we are a legally (SSM) registered company and not some sort of internet scam. Bike Pro enterprise is a company formed by people who are passionate about bikes and cycling for fellow cyclists. Being cyclists ourselves, we understand the needs and expectations from our customers better. We try our best to keep a very low level of stock and overhead costs so that we could pass on the savings to our customers.

As you may have noticed that we have only a simple Blog to inform our potential customers of what we sell and not spending a lot of money on web designs in which at the end of the day, those costs are passed on our customers. We are cyclists; not a multi million business corporation, for God's sake.
We also offer free advise on bike fitting and education on what suits our beginner customers best. We will try our best to identify the specific needs and tailor to their requirements rather than just selling something that will not suit their usage.
